Oceanview cottage has some of the most incredible views in coastal Maine. Wake up to see the sunrise over an ocean lighthouse with stunning hills from an island behind it. Enjoy time on the deck as you watch the sunset reflect off the ocean then welcome a sky full of stars next to the firepit. There is no direct access to water from porch however it's a simple 2 min walk up road to beach on your left, hang out with a view on our large ocean front deck. 3 min drive to brewery and restaurants! Huge yard and pet friendly. 4 min drive to Quoddy Head lighthouse!
Hello! It’s very important you know what our place is like! Please read this description, ask questions and look at our pictures! Our family of 5 loves this place and has enjoyed it every summer but there’s a few things to know - this is a very very old outdated Cottage with 1 large bedroom with 2 Queen beds Hotel style. Extra bonus nook small room w Twin bed best for a kid/teen. Living room has pull out full size bed. 2 TVs in house with AmazonFire you are welcome to log in to your streaming service or just watch dvds, electric fireplace and outdoor fire pit. Large ocean view deck! No direct access to water from porch - short 2 min walk up road on your left.
*Important* Our windows inside the house are very old and 2 of them (1 in hallway and 1 in living room will fill with misty foggy condensation throughout the day impacting the view from inside the property - we took photos and attached - we will hopefully get these windows replaced in near future but have lowered our price to reflect that). Still wonderful views from porch :) Our home does not have AC - but we provide the home with 4 portable fans as well as a remote ceiling fan in bedroom. The house can get warm! We are on direct sun light in the afternoon. We recommend enjoying the porch during this time as the breeze is amazing, but it’s important to know it does get warm! We have heaters - but typically don’t need them at all. If you’re looking for a place with everything modern and new - this is not it - however the view of the spark plug light house, the location (2 min walk to beach up road), 1 min drive to downtown and 4 min drive to west Quoddy head lighthouse makes our humble home very special!
