Summary: An exceptional property completely let down by its service. Jumeirah Bali is architecturally stunning, but luxury is defined by service, not only by beautiful facilities. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, the service was consistently far below what the Jumeirah brand promises. The biggest disappointment was the restaurants. At every single meal, whether at Akasa or Segaran, we faced excessive waiting times for extremely simple dishes, starters, drinks and even a bottle of water. Even when restaurants were nearly empty, orders were forgotten, we had to ask repeatedly, and meals arrived with no coordination. This happened throughout our stay, making it clear that these were not isolated incidents but a systemic operational problem. The same lack of organization affected transportation and general guest service. We repeatedly waited for buggies after multiple requests. The most unbelievable example came after we had already checked out, when the hotel reminded us of a spa appointment we had never booked and even offered a buggy from our villa—despite us having left the property four hours earlier. Management apologized many times, but apologies without improvement eventually become meaningless. I have traveled the world on more than 300 trips and have stayed in countless luxury hotels. I have never experienced such a significant gap between the quality of a property and the quality of its service. Beautiful resort. Exceptional architecture. Completely unacceptable
